Top 10 Places to Visit in Hanoi

Hanoi and its former 36 business district have been ranked among the 10 most attractive cities in the world. Then you would ask yourself these questions: “What are the attractions of this city?” “Or this “What are the sites to see first when you come to this city?”

Christianity in Vietnam

Although Western missionaries visited Tonkin briefly in 1533, and Annam in 1596, it was not until 1615 that Portuguese Dominicans founded the first Catholic missions in Hoi An, Danang and Hanoi, marking the beginning of Christianity in Vietnam. The first Vietnamese priests were to be ordained in 1668.

Confucianism

Based on the teachings of Confucius (551-479 BC), Confucianism ( Nho giao or Khong giao , in Vietnamese) is rather than a religion, a political and social morality which dictates to each person their place, their rights and their duties within the family as in society, in order to ensure peace and order.

The Vietnamese conical hat

If we were to present Vietnamese charm, the conical hat worn by the Vietnamese is certainly a powerful symbol of the country. Very light, even fragile, this object made of wood and bamboo stems covered with latanier leaves is worn by women from the North to the South, regardless of social background, rich or poor, young or old.
