Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private guide and transferred to your hotel in the heart of Hanoi.

15:30 – 18:00: Begin your cultural introduction with a guided walking exploration of Hanoi’s Old Quarter; a living museum of ancient guild streets dating back over 1,000 years. 08:30 – 11:30: Explore Vietnam’s historical and philosophical foundations with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex (outside Mausoleum), including his humble stilt house and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda; a symbol of purity and spiritual devotion. Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university founded in 1070. Discover its peaceful courtyards and ancient stone stelae honoring scholars of past centuries, reflecting the country’s deep-rooted Confucian traditions.

08:00 – 10:30: Depart Hanoi for Ninh Binh, often referred to as “Halong Bay on land,” with its dramatic limestone mountains and tranquil countryside.
10:30 – 12:30: Embark on a traditional sampan boat journey through Trang An Landscape Complex (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Glide along peaceful waterways, passing through caves and towering karst formations shaped over millions of years, offering both natural beauty and spiritual significance.
12:30 – 13:30: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring regional specialties.
13:30 – 15:00: Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the political center of Vietnam in the 10th century. Explore temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, and learn about the early foundations of the Vietnamese nation.

11:30 Welcome to Heritage Cruises Binh Chuan Lounge at No.28B of Tuan Chau International Marina for refreshments before boarding for the cruise
12:30 Board the Heritage Cruises Binh Chuan boat and enjoy a welcome drink as you receive a cruise briefing, safety instructions, and check-in to your suite.
12:40 Heritage Cruises Binh Chuan takes you to contemplate the magnificent sceneries made from the limestone mountains of Lan Ha Bay – Cat Ba Archipelago. This bay is untouched and remote, as not many cruise boats use this route.
13:10 Lunch is served at L’indochine Restaurant
15:30 The cruise vessel approaches the Ba Trai Dao (Three Peach beaches) (upon the weather), or Tra Bau (during the period from May to September) in Lan Ha Bay, a natural frontier between the provinces of Halong and Haiphong. This secret hideaway has beaches, caves, and coves, plus the spectacular natural beauty of about 400 islands. Guests can try kayaking or simply swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the bay.
17:00 Return to Heritage Cruises Binh Chuan, enjoy life aboard the vessel or in your suite
18:00 Activities include afternoon tea and the chef will lead a Vietnamese cooking class
Join our HAPPY HOUR (from 17:00 to 19:00) while enjoying the amazing scenery while watching the sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin.

Day 5 | Lan Ha Bay - Tuan Chau Island - Hanoi Show more +

06:15 Start the day with a session of Vovinam on the sundeck.
06:45 Have a light breakfast on board. Or you can choose a luxurious breakfast, especially served in the swimming pool on the 3rd floor (time from 6:30 – 8:30). Maximum for 2 groups of guests and maximum to 6 guests (with surcharge).
07:15 Head off in a bamboo boat to explore the Dark and Bright Cave area to enjoy the sparkling stalactites on the ceiling and feel the soul of the surrounding nature.
9:00 – 9:30 Return to the boat for checkout
09:30 Enjoy brunch while cruising back to the mainland
10:30 Return to Tuan Chau Marina and disembark for your onward journey
11:30 If you have booked our limousine service, our chauffeur will pick you up to take you to your hotel in Hanoi.

08:30 – 10:00: Depart Hanoi for Duong Lam Ancient Village, one of the best-preserved traditional villages in Northern Vietnam.
10:00 – 12:00: Explore Duong Lam’s narrow brick lanes lined with centuries-old laterite houses. Visit Mia Pagoda and the village communal house, where local spiritual life and ancestral worship are still practiced today.
Meet local families, enjoy tea in a traditional courtyard, and gain authentic insight into rural life shaped by agriculture and Confucian values.
12:00 – 13:00: Lunch at a local restaurant featuring regional specialties.
13:30 – 15:30: Continue to Bat Trang Pottery Village, famous for its 700-year-old ceramic tradition. Observe skilled artisans shaping clay using traditional techniques passed down through generations.
