VIETNAM E-VISA

At Hoa Chan Travel & Event, we often support travelers and corporate partners who need a simple, official, and predictable way to enter Vietnam. Vietnam E-Visa is currently one of the most widely used options for short- to mid-term stays.

The Vietnam E-Visa (Electronic Visa) is issued directly by the Vietnamese Immigration Department through the official government system. Since 15 August 2023, citizens of all countries and territories are eligible to apply for an E-Visa with the following key features:

• Validity: up to 90 days

• Entry type: single entry or multiple entries

• Entry methods: air, land, and sea

• Purpose: tourism, business, short-term visits (non-working)

1. Who can apply for a Vietnam E-Visa? Each traveler (adults & children) must apply individually. Applicants must:

• Be outside Vietnam at the time of application

• Hold a valid passport (with sufficient remaining validity)

• Not fall under restricted entry cases as regulated by Vietnamese immigration law

2. How to apply for a Vietnam E-Visa

Applicants can apply directly via the official government website or receive guidance from experienced travel professionals.

Standard application steps:

1. Complete the online application form

2. Upload required personal and passport information

3. Pay the visa fee online

4. Receive the E-Visa result via email

Once approved, travelers should print the E-Visa and present it upon entry and exit. Processing time:

• Normally 4 working days

• Up to 15 working days if additional verification is required (Weekends & public holidays excluded)

3. Vietnam E-Visa fees

• USD..... – Single entry

• USD.... – Multiple entries

Visa fees are non-refundable, regardless of approval or rejection, as regulated by Vietnamese law. No additional payment is required at immigration counters when entering Vietnam with a valid E-Visa.

Entry points accepting Vietnam E-Visa. E-Visa holders may enter Vietnam via:

• International airports

• International land border gates

• Seaports

This flexibility makes the E-Visa especially suitable for travelers combining multiple destinations or cross-border journeys in Southeast Asia.

When should you consider other visa options? While E-Visa is convenient, it may not be ideal for:

• Last-minute travel

• Special entry circumstances

• Travelers requiring on-arrival assistance
