VIETNAM VISA ON ARRIVAL

A Calm & Clear Guide for Short-Notice Travel to Vietnam

At Hoa Chan Travel & Event, we understand that visa arrangements are often time-sensitive especially when travel plans change, meetings are confirmed late, or urgent trips arise. For travelers visiting Vietnam for short stays such as tourism, family visits, or business discussions, Visa on Arrival (VOA) remains a practical option in specific situations particularly when time is limited and standard visa routes are no longer feasible.

When is Visa on Arrival suitable? Visa on Arrival is typically considered when:

  • Travelers require urgent entry to Vietnam
  • E-visa processing timelines are not compatible with departure schedules
  • Entry is via international airports in Vietnam

Please note that Visa on Arrival is issued for short stays (up to 30 days) and is processed individually, there are no family or group visas.

How the process works – in 4 calm steps

1. Pre-arrival arrangement: Prior to departure, an approval letter must be secured through a licensed Vietnam-based visa service partner.

2. Secure processing & confirmation: Once documentation is reviewed and confirmed, the approval letter and visa application form are issued electronically, allowing travelers to prepare in advance.

3. Arrival at Vietnam airport Upon landing, travelers proceed to the Visa on Arrival / Landing Visa counter to submit:

  • Passport Valid for at least 6 months beyond the exit date, with two blank pages available.
  • Printed visa approval letter Issued in advance and presented upon arrival.
  • Completed visa application form (We recommend filling this out before departure to save time at the airport.)
  • Passport-sized photo(s) In case a photo is not available, on-site photo services are usually provided.
  • Visa stamping fee Payable in cash (USD or VND) directly at the immigration counter.

4. Immigration clearance: After visa stamping, travelers continue through passport control and complete arrival formalities as usual. Practical notes for a smooth arrival:

  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months with two blank pages
  • Visa fees are paid in cash at the airport (USD or VND)
  • Visa on Arrival and tourist e-visas are not extendable
  • Processing times and fees vary by nationality and urgency

Rather than positioning visa services as a transaction, we approach them as part of a well-designed arrival experience—one that minimizes stress and allows travelers to focus on the purpose of their journey. We support:

  • Clear visa pathway guidance
  • Pre-travel coordination and document checking
  • Calm communication throughout urgent timelines
  • Optional airport fast-track & arrival assistance

Visa regulations may change, and eligibility varies by nationality and entry purpose. We always recommend confirming the most suitable visa route based on your travel context, not just speed. If you require discreet, reliable support for Vietnam entry—especially under tight timelines, our team is here to guide you calmly and clearly.

Hoa Chan Travel & Event Thoughtfully supporting arrivals, not just processing visas.
